The Informals Writing Group is a bunch of people interested in writing who meet every Thursday afternoon at Loughborough Library.
The sessions are FREE and informal – hence the name – with members dropping by when they can and missing a week here and there when something else comes up.
Sometimes members bring along their own writing to share and seek feedback from the group. At other times, they bring poetry or short pieces of work by published writers for the group to discuss. Mostly the sessions are a chance to talk about what we enjoy about writing and to stimulate ideas with a creative exercise or two.
New writers are always welcomed. We meet in the main area of the Library, tucked away behind the ‘biography’ bookshelves. Just follow the sound of lively chatter – or ask at the information desk for directions!
